A Woman's Right to Choo-se

This weekend, I had the pleasure of helping my mother with her wedding dress styling.  We had put everything together from the earrings to the shoes a few weeks back and were waiting for the dress itself to return from alterations.  We ran into a slight dilemna when the hem came back too high and her whole foot, albeit fabulously adorned with a a pair of Jimmy Choo Slingbacks, was on display for all the world to see.  There wasn't enough fabric left in the hem to let it down and this was evidently the last dress of its kind left on the planet (according to Nordstrom), so we had to make an adjustment in the shoe department.  It turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as the new Choo was an inch lower and a wedge, perfect for walking on grass and dancing all night. After steaming the dress, it was as perfect as it could be.

A quick shout out to Malin in the wedding boutique at Nordstrom North Park, who has been an absolute dream to work with and has put up with our cameras, entourage, and shenanigans over the past several weeks.  She knows her stuff, ladies, so if you need any type of assistance in the bridal department, she's your chick.

Here & Here

Gorgeous and practical, plus I can see these paired with skinny jeans and a blazer for dinner or drinks with the girls.  My trusty model, AKA, Little Sister modeled them for us.  Seriously, this kid can walk in a pair of tranny heels better than Naomi Campbell.  Look at those trendy yellow skinnies!  She phoned ahead to say that she "called" them and would appreciate if I didn't wear mine.  Yes ma'am!

Disclaimer: As much as I would love to claim her, she is, in fact, not my blood relative.  She is a baby fashionista in training and her mother is very, very proud.

xoxo,
sarah
